Free script for contacting suppliers online
Use this script every time you want to contact a supplier about a new product enquiry.
Scripting your initial email doesn’t have to be hard, but you need to make sure it is perfect, as you want to come across as a professional company with real purchasing intentions, and you want to explicitly state what you require from the suppliers while showing the appropriate respect to them. We have crafted a generic script for reaching out to suppliers. Make sure to edit it so it reflects your current situation.

Dear Sophia,
My name is Harry and I am a co-founder of Visibly. We import quality bike turn signals into Australia and are looking for a long-term supplier for our products.
I am writing to you today to enquire about the following product that is listed on your store’s site on Alibaba. Could you please let give me some information on the following:
— Unit price based on (100), (1,000), and (10,000) pieces
— Minimum order quantity (MOQ)
— Production lead time
— Payment terms
— Pricing for samples
— Shipping options (I am based in Sydney, Australia)
— Do you offer OEM manufacturing? Can I place my own logo on the product?
— Do you offer customizable packaging?
If you have variations of this product, I would like to discuss ordering samples for all of them, as we can then decide which is the best variant to go with based on quality and price.
Moving forward from there, if we are happy with the sample quality and the above information, we would work with you to secure large orders. Please be aware we also plan to engage with a third-party inspector before we place a large order.
